How to Plan for Summer
Especially when you feel the slump
This issue comes from my very own DeLoran - as I am on maternity leave I collected some of the core lessons I have learned over the beginning of 2025.
Let’s get one thing straight…the summer slump is real. And no, it’s not your fault.
People are checked out, sipping margaritas instead of opening emails, let alone clicking “Buy now.” Between holidays, heatwaves, and school breaks, most people are in out of office mode – mentally and literally.
And honestly? I’m kind of with them.
As I was preparing for my own summer slowdown (now that Flo is here, I am embracing maternity leave 👶), I’ve been rethinking how we treat this season in business.
Here’s the kicker though – while I may be slowing down personally, behind the scenes we’re gearing up for something BIG.
My next book Customer-Driven Marketing Handbook is coming out this December, and I’m using these quieter months to lay the groundwork for a strong end to the year.
Because the truth is, summer doesn’t have to mean sales go quiet. If you know how to use it strategically, it can become your secret weapon.
Let’s talk about how.
